Seatbelt Acessories

A seatbelt buckle cover is used to prevent an individual from undoing a seatbelt. Once the buckle cover has been put in place, the seatbelt is not able to be undone unless a key (or similar object) is fitted into the slot on the top and the red release button is pushed. Our seatbelt buckle covers are sold with a seatbelt cutter for emergencies so that the occupant can be easily accessed. Our seatbelt buckle covers meet the requirements of the Australian standards and are universal so they should fit onto the seatbelt buckle of most vehicles.  We also stock buckle covers to suit our postural harness, the Careva Harness. It is a requirement to keep a current doctors certificate in your vehicle when the seatbelt buckle cover is in use.

  1. Place sticker provided on front or rear window as required.

  2. Slide the plastic buckle cover over the top of locking buckle as shown below, with the smaller slot sitting over the releasing button.

  3. With passenger sitting in seating position, position seatbelt as required and slide into latch using the larger slot.

  4. To release seatbelt simply insert a key into the small slot to release the seatbelt locking mechanism.

The seatbelt cutter is used for emergencies for when an individual gets in a situation where they are unable to undo the seatbelt buckle and need to cut the seatbelt in order to reach the occupant. The seatbelt cutter features a blade which is housed inside the body of the cutter, is easy to grip and cuts quickly through restraining belts or clothes. Every seatbelt cutter we provide also comes with a seatbelt cutter sticker to stick on your vehicle so individuals know that the vehicle is equipped with a seatbelt cutter if it’s needed. We supply a seatbelt cutter and sticker with every harness order as well as buckle cover orders.
